(1) Using the windows key to search for specific programs/functions.
1. Press the windows key located on the bottom left of the keyboard.
2. Start typing the specific the name of the specific program/function.
3. Press the enter key when the desired program shows as a larger icon than alternative icons on the list of programs/functions and is presented under the 'Best match' option.
(2) Take a snip of what's on your screen
1. A 'Snip' can be taken at any point on windows 10. to take a screenshot the following keys must be pressed: windows logo key + shift + s.
2. After the 'Snip' screen has been displayed, the user must locate the area of the screen that they wish to 'snip' and drag and drop the mouse around the desired location.
3. After the desired location of the screen has been selected, the 'Snip' will automatically copy to the users clipboard which can be used to paste into a desired document.
(3) Snap apps side by side
1. Snapping applications side by side is a efficient way of working on windows 10 without having switch between applications. choose the application that you wish to snap on one side of the screen and open it.
2. Once the application is open make sure that the other application is also open and ready to be snapped side by side. drag the program that you wish to snap on the left or right hand side of the screen.
3. Once the application has snapped to the left or right hand side of the screen there will be options dependent on the applications that you already have opened previously, choose which application you would like to have on the opposite side of the screen.
(4) Creating a desktop icon for a specific Website link
1. Select a link from any website on a browser.
2. Right-click on the desktop and select new shortcut.
3. Enter the website link into the text box provided when opening a new shortcut.
4. Click 'next' and use the provided text box to name the shortcut.
5. Click 'finish.' A new shortcut will be created on the desktop and will take the user to the link provided when creating the shortcut.
