How to Set up Microsoft Authenticator

Please follow the below instructions to set up Microsoft Authenticator.

1. Open Edge (your internet browser).

2. Go to aka.ms/mfasetup which will take you directly to the portal.

3. Click + Add method.

4. Choose Authenticator App.

5. On your phone, install the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Play Store for Android or App Store for iOS.

If you already have Microsoft Authenticator installed on your mobile phone, click Next.

6. Continue to follow the instructions and click Next.

7. On the Authenticator App on your phone, click on the + icon.

8. Click on Work or school account.

9. Click Scan QR code.

10. Now scan the QR code on the screen and click Next.

11. On your phone, click Approve.

12. On your computer, the notification will now be approved and you can click Next.

13. On your computer, click on Change to change your default sign-in method.

14. Then select Microsoft Authenticator - notification and click Confirm.

15. Now the process is complete, you can close the tab.
