How to check and update your version of iOS

iOS is the operating system on your iPhone.

Check the software version on your phone:

To check the version of iOS you're using, open Settings > General and then choose 'About'.

The Software Version is the version of iOS you have on your phone.

To update the software on your phone:

Go into Settings > General and then choose 'Software Update'. If an update is available for your phone, it will appear in this window.

You can then select 'Download and Install'.

Ensure that you have taken a recent backup of your phone and that you have your phone plugged into power before starting the update.
