Sign In App Guide
To improve the efficiency of the sign in processes all schools in the Trust will be implementing a new system called Sign In App.
The main drive for the change to the current paper-based systems are:
- Real time fire evacuation reports for all staff, visitors, and pupils
- Improved accuracy for absence reporting
Staff Use
All staff will be required to initially register themselves on the system, then subsequently tap the reader with their fob each time they enter or leave the school building/site.
Staff must never sign any other member of staff in or out on the system.
If staff visit another school within the Trust, they will need to sign in as a visitor.
How to register a fob:
- Tap the Welcome screen
- Tap the magnifying glass in the top right corner to search for yourself
Tap in your name and then tap the tile with your name on it:
- Tap the "Connect an RFID tag" tile
- When presented with the screen below, hold your fob to the reader (small white box on the side of the iPad mount)
The Fob should now be successfully registered.
How to use the Sign In App
To Sign In:
If you have registered your fob
1. Tap your fob to the reader
If you haven’t registered your fob (or don’t have it with you)
1. Tap the Welcome screen
2. Tap Sign In
3. Tap Milestone Staff
4. Search for yourself
5. Tap your name
To Sign Out:
If you have registered your fob
1. Tap your fob to the reader
If you haven’t registered your fob (or don’t have it with you)
1. Tap the Welcome screen
2. Tap Sign Out
3. Search for yourself
4. Tap your name
