Changing the Default Search Engine in Edge
The default search engine built into the Edge browser is Bing. As it's the default, if you type a word or search query directly into the address bar in Edge, it will perform a search using this search engine:

In the above screenshot, Google is the search engine it will use. However, the default is usually Bing.
To change from Bing to Google, go into your browser Settings:

From here, choose 'Privacy, search, and services' from the left hand side of the screen:

On the Settings page on the right hand side, scroll down until you see the option for 'Address bar and search' under the 'Services' section:

From here, change the search engine used in the address bar:
