Jabra headset setup
When you are issued a Jabra headset rather than a normal handset, this solution article that can help you set the headset ready for use in a few simple steps.
One important thing to remember is that if you move the microphone arm up by the side of your headset, it mutes you on the call and the person on the other line will not be able to hear you.

First plug in the dongle that came with the headset into a free USB port on your laptop. This will install automatically, and your headset should connect to it allowing you to use it.

If your headset does not come with a dongle then the first thing to do is to make sure your Bluetooth is switched on. This can be done by using the following method:
1. Go to the windows button on your task bar and select settings.

2. Then select devices from the next menu. In this window select Bluetooth & other devices.

Make sure it is turned on by moving the switch with your mouse to the on position.
3. Go to the notifications button on your right hand side of the taskbar and click on it. Once it expands check that the Bluetooth button is on. If it is it will have a blue background.

Now the Bluetooth is on, we can go through the process of adding the headset.
4. Move the power switch on the headset and hold it towards the Bluetooth symbol until the light starts to blink blue.

5. Once the light is flashing blue, go to the settings menu and back into the Bluetooth & other devices menu (described in Method 1).
6. Once back in the Bluetooth & other devices window click back on Bluetooth and select the plus button.

7. Now a menu pop up window will appear. Select the Bluetooth option.

8. Once the Bluetooth devices available show up on the screen, select the Jabra headset.

9. Once you have selected your device click done.

10. Now your device should appear in the device window and ready to use.

11. You should also check that your speakers are set within Microsoft Teams and on your laptop to Headset (Jabra Evolve 2 Hands-Free AG Audio). This is done in two ways:
A). At the bottom right of your screen click on the speaker icon:

Then Make sure the selection is Headset (Jabra Evolve 2 Hands-Free AG Audio).

If it is not simply click the arrow in the top right corner of this window and select the correct setting.

Once this has been selected you will need to check Teams too.
B). Once you are in the Teams app click on the three dots by your initials or image on the top right of the top bar, and select settings.
From the settings menu select the devices menu.

Within the devices window check to make sure your speaker and microphone are both using the Headset (Jabra Evolve 2 Hands-Free AG Audio) setting.

If the speaker and microphone are both not on the Headset (Jabra Evolve 2 Hands-Free AG Audio) setting this can be easily changed by clicking on the down arrow in the window by the side of the option currently selected. Then just click on the option you require.

12. Lastly you should try a test call to check everything works. This can be done back within the devices menu in teams, simply select the option to do a test call.

13. Once you have selected the test call a new screen will appear.

14. Follow the instruction that are being told to you via your headset. If you can't hear anything go through step 11 again.
