Registering Your Fob and Setting Up A PIN on PaperCut
You can register your access control fob on the PaperCut system, which means you can scan your fob on the photocopiers to release your print jobs instead of entering your PIN.
This guide will show you how to register your fob for the first time so that you can begin to use it.
1. Register the fob at the printer
You can do this at any photocopier.
Present your fob to the RFID reader on the copier. It will look something like this, depending on the model:
When you present a new fob that is not registered, you will be asked to sign in to PaperCut to associate that fob with your account.
Once this is done, you may then log into any printer at SAND Academies Trust by presenting your fob.
2. Setting a PIN as a backup
You may also choose to set a numeric PIN as another way of signing into the printers.
To do this, use a computer to go to the PaperCut portal:
PaperCut Login for SAND Multi Academy Trust (sandmat.uk)
Note: when signing into PaperCut using the above link, you may be presented with the following warning in your browser:
For this website only, it's OK to ignore this warning -- click on the 'Advanced' button, and then click 'Continue to print.sandmat.uk'.
You should see the PaperCut sign-in screen. You should click 'Sign in with Microsoft':
Once you are logged into PaperCut, click on 'Change Details'
On the next screen, click 'Generate number' as below. This will create a random PIN that can also be used to sign into the printers if you don't have your fob available.
